Same day callback
You tell us what is happening and where. We ask what the house is, roughly when it was built and whether anything has been done to that wall before, because in Hartford the answer is usually yes.

One of us comes out, measures, and puts a screw into the wall somewhere discreet to find out whether it is board or lath and plaster. The written quote comes after that visit, never before it.

Two to five days
Board goes up, joints are taped and three coats of compound go on with a drying day between them. Sanding is the dusty part and it is one day, not five.

We prime what we finished so you can actually see it, vacuum the room, take the sheeting and the scrap away, and walk the job with you before anybody leaves.

Six reasons people call us back
Almost everything that goes wrong on a drywall job goes wrong before the board is up, in the parts nobody thinks to ask about. These are the six we get asked about afterwards, by people who found out the hard way somewhere else.

- A number given before anyone has seen the room is a number that moves. We would rather spend twenty minutes at the house and give you one that holds than win the job on a figure we both know is provisional.

- Floors covered, doorways sheeted, vents taped, and nothing hung until that is done. It looks like a slow start and it is the reason the rest of the house is still liveable on day three.
- 3. Old ceilings handled properly
- Plaster keys and lath overhead need taking down carefully and carting out, not knocking through. It is the dirtiest morning of the job and skipping it properly is what ruins the floor underneath.
- 4. One crew, start to finish
- The people who hang it tape it and sand it. Handing a room between outfits halfway is how a seam ends up somewhere a finisher cannot work, and how nobody ends up owning the result.
- 5. The date is written, not implied
- You get a start date in the same week you call, in writing. If a job ahead of yours runs long we tell you as soon as we know rather than on the morning we were due to arrive.
- 6. Small things patched at the end
- The last afternoon is for the knocks and the dings that happened while we were working, not just our own seams. A job is not finished because the wall is finished.
